What are some of the final stories of 2006 in Connecticut?
Connecticut is the 49th state in income growth.
Rep. Larson talks about his true self:
I don't believe most people would consider that to be a good thing, and if the Republicans would only field a decent candidate against him, at a minimum he would be forced to become more bipartisan.
Joe Lieberman decries inappropriate video games while receiving campaign contributions from companies that produce such games.
Sen. Dodd wrote an article for the Des Moines Register discussing his anti-war beliefs.

Rep. Larson talks about his true self:
Make no mistake, though. Larson is a Pelosi loyalist. "We're not joined at the hip," he says, "but I'm one of the top 10 she calls for advice, and that's a good thing. I don't think she's going to fail."

I don't think in the 1st. district it would be possible for the Republicans to field anyone who could beat Larson. When was the last time that a democrat was the Congressional representative from that district, maybe 50 years ago? Not that he is good, only that the Democrats could run a horse there and win.
Instead, I think the Republicans should put a full court press starting right now, to regain the 2nd and 5th districts, and make sure to hold onto the 4th.
To me the only way to force Larson to be more bipartisan is to restore some balance in the state's congressional make up that will force him to be.
Also if it is clear that the Republicans are serious about regaining those two districts, it may help keep Murphy and Courtney at least a little less connected to Pelosi's hip than they other wise will be.

Pelosi, Larson, Kennedy et al will do nothing to help middle-class Americans. Just more typical liberal poverty and special interest pimping.
Lieberman, no surprise there. Just another hypocrite.
Dodd will never have national appeal.
This could be good news:
BOSTON - Gov. Mitt Romney will file paperwork forming a presidential exploratory committee on Wednesday, a delay of 24 hours out of respect for the funeral services scheduled Tuesday for former President Gerald R. Ford, according to a top aide familiar with his plans.

Spitzer wants to cover more of the uninsured in NY and cut the number of those uninsured by half by reaching out to the poor ho are already entitled. He also recognizes that th other half of the unisured are the young and healthy who don't see the need for insurance. Ahh, if only we had educated people in CT government!
